SSP KASINGYE SUSAN; ALWAYS MAKE VERIFICATION WITH INTERPOL BEFORE BUYING LUXURY CARS.

Former Special Presidential Advisor (SPA) in charge of Police Affairs, Senior Superintendent of Police Susan Kasingye has alerted Ugandans to desist from purchasing the so called luxury cars from car dealers before making thorough due diligence on them. Afande Susan Kasingye used her X page (@SKasingye) to caution Ugandans who rush to buy luxury vehicles from used car dealers.

 

 

Afande Susan Kasingye says that its absurd to buy a stolen motor vehicle with your hard earned money, only for you to be arrested and the vehicle impounded. She openly cleared the air that some vehicles are usually stolen from other countries and sold to unsuspecting Ugandans and vice versa, yet the International Criminal Police Organization – INTERPOL has a database of all reported stolen motor vehicles worldwide.

 

She has appealed to Ugandans not to be cheated again when the directorate of Interpol and international relations can assist and verify and then thereafter issue a clearance. 

 

“Before you import a vehicle or buy from a local dealer, come to us , apply for verification, attach relevant vehicle documentation and let us do the rest. It takes a few minutes , at most one hour”, Afande Susan Kasingye said.

The Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) enforcement team has regularly conducted a series of operations, resulting in the interception of luxury vehicles being smuggled to Uganda market.
